Frers Design

85m new world sloop

Description

Under construction.
What started from several sketches and ideas together with Gill Brown & Rob Wetzels is now a fully detail designed and engineered New World Sloop. Construction has started at Royal Huisman Shipyard under Code 410.
During the past years we went through the process of designing, inventing when required, proof testing, engineering, class approval and now are very happy to report the result reflects the exact initial ideas and sketches.
We had to draw on all our experience of the past 30 years in design, build and sailing in various fields from Americas cup racing to superyacht sailing and motor yachting to reach the lofty targets we set ourselves. In the process, we took the integration between interior and exterior to new heights and the result is nothing short of stunning.
Firstly, we thank the owner for understanding and belief in our vision and the concept. For the implementation and developments, we would like to thank every designer, engineer and coworking companies, some of whom we have been collaborating for decades always enjoying the challenge of successfully turning design concepts into reality; as well as Royal Huisman Shipyard for making it possible to reach this point.
We look forward to the exciting construction phase ahead and applying the higher level of technology and know how on future projects.
